DNA TEST
All MNZ Manuka Honeys are tested to meet the strict MPI requirements for Monofloral Manuka Honey. The test consists of 2 parts; a chemical test and a DNA test. All MNZ Manuka Honeys and products are monofloral (from 1 plant; Leptospermum Scoparium).
NO GMO
All MNZ Manuka Honeys are extensively and repeatedly tested for the presence of GMO (Genetically Modified Organism). All MNZ Manuka Honeys and products are FREE from Genetically Modified Organisms.
NO GLYPHOSATE
All MNZ Manuka Honeys are extensively tested for the presence of Glyphosate, Glufosinate and Aminomethylphosphonic acid (herbicide that can end up in honey). All MNZ Manuka Honeys and products are FREE from Glyphosate, Glufosinate and Aminomethylphosphonic acid.
EXPORT QUALITY
All MNZ Manuka Honeys meet the strict export requirements of the New Zealand government (MPI) regarding Manuka Honey. All MNZ Manuka Honeys and products meet the strict export requirements for Quality.
MGO (Methylglyoxal)
All MNZ Manuka Honey is extensively tested for the presence of natural Methylglyoxal (MGO) and is therefore the most important component for the unique bio-active qualities. All MNZ Manuka Honeys and products contain the minimum MGO value as stated on the label.
MPI APPROVED
Before every MNZ Manuka Honey batch leaves New Zealand, it is thoroughly checked by the New Zealand MPI (Ministry of Primary Industries). All MNZ Manuka Honeys and products are MPI approved.
BEEPROTECTIVE
As part of MNZ’s ongoing Bee Conservation and Health Programme, our bees are fed exclusively from their own honey stock that the bees have built up in their own hives from mid-to-end of the season making sure the bees stay healthy.
MANUKAID (TEST PROGRAM)
MNZ tests extensively for: Leptosperin, MGO, DHA, HMF, Tutin, Manuka Pollen, Glyphosate, C3- & C4 sugars, PFAS, Diastasis, AFB, Physical properties, Trace elements, Heavy metals, Microbiological and extensive chemical tests, GMO/GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) and Testing the nectar.
RAW
MNZ produces only raw, unfiltered, unpasteurized, monofloral Manuka Honeys in BPA-free packaging and is produced, processed and packaged in New Zealand. Vitamins, minerals and nutrients remain intact, a higher content of natural enzymes and a high amino acid profile.
THE BEST NEW ZEALAND RAW MANUKA HONEY
MNZ only processes raw, monofloral manuka honey from its own beehives in New Zealand. Because MNZ manages the entire process, from A to Z, MNZ is able to produce the world’s best raw New Zealand Manuka Honeys and products.
Leptosperin (present only in the nectar of the flower of the manuka plant), MGO (Methylglyoxal), DHA (Dihydroxyacetone; precursor MGO), HMF (Hydroxymethylfurfural; indication for heating), Tutin (toxic compound of NZ native Tutu plant), Pollen ( presence of Manukapollen), Glyphosate, Glufosinate and Aminomethylphosphonic acid (pesticide), C3- & C4 sugars (detection if honey has been adulterated by adding sugar), Diastase (an enzyme naturally found in honey that breaks down over time, especially upon exposure to heat), AFB (American Foulbrood disease (AFB) using a modern DNA testing technique called PCR), Physical properties (color, conductivity, moisture and Brix (sugar content), trace elements, heavy metals, microbiological and extensive chemical testing, GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) and nectar testing. PFAS (PFAS are chemicals that are water, oil and heat resistant and are used in many consumer products and are widely found in groundwater as well as meat and fish and other foods. They are persistent in the environment and the human body and can pose health risks such as cancer and hormone disruption.)
